Plant Bug - Compsidolon salicellum

Plant Bug - Compsidolon salicellum
Lacey (near Olympia), Thurston County, Washington, USA
August 1, 2009
v & wongun - I finally found another mirid for you guys that isn't just another Phytocoris! :)

wongun - got some pictures the other night of a Pamillia that you helped to key out last year. You thought it was probably 1 of 2 species. If it shows up again, are there particular angles or pictures that would help identify it?

Regarding Pamillia,
I am thinking that my ID was doubtful since Pamillia was recorded only in southwestern states. Anyway, a straight upright dorsal view may be mostly helpful for ID.

It's an introduced species from Europe, Compsidolon salicellum.
It was recorded in northeast and northwest states in North America.

Moved from Plant Bugs.

great --
having one from ME and one from WA gives you a good idea!

good for you -- and for all of us!
Moved from ID Request.
