Pretty Wings - Spathius - female Pretty Wings - Spathius - female Pretty Wings - Spathius - female

appears to be in the genus Spathius
Kenneth R. Ahlstrom det.

Moved from Braconid Wasps.

Doryctinae - Spathius…
Extended ovipositor, fore-tibial spines, color and wing pattern, and a petiolate abdomen ID this female. I would leave at the genus level for now. Nice catch Ash.

See reference here.

from Dr. Scott R. Shaw:
"difficult, partly because the wings are folded, and partly because some parts are not clear. It looks very much like a doryctine braconid (subfamily Doryctinae), possibly a species of Spathius or Dendrosoter. Paul Marsh is the expert on these."

Thanks to you both
Should I leave it where it is, then?

Moved from ID Request.

beautiful fem.braconid -- no idea beyond that
