Abstract

Craspeduchus pulchellus (F.), a widespread neotropical species is first reported from the United States. In this country it is known only from Key Largo, Florida where it is found on Corchorus siliquosus L. Eggs are deposited on the ground in loose clusters. The nymphs and adults are found on plants of [i]C.

In addition to lateralis the following species are transferred from Neacoryphus to Melacoryphus: admirabilis (Uhler), circumlitus (Stål), facetus (Say), nigrinervis (Stål), pedregalensis (Brailovsky), rubicollis (Uhler) and rubriger (Stål). Two new species, Melacoryphus micropterus and M.
