Sphecodes? - Calliopsis subalpina - female

Sphecodes? - Calliopsis subalpina - Female
Santa Cruz, Santa Fe County, New Mexico, USA
August 8, 2009
Size: 5 mm?
Well, it's a bee with a red abdomen, so I took a guess. The flower is globemallow, Sphaeralcea sp., angustifolia if I'm not mistaken. These have been all over the globemallows at a friend's house for some weeks now.

I think it's the same species as my next image.
