Aphids are tough to ID
I don't know a lot about them, but I do know it helps to provide the name of the plant they're on. I suspect these are oleander aphids; details here...

Oleander aphids?
I agree, they look like oleander aphids. What plant were they found on? Aphis nerii feeds only on plants of the Apocinaceae family, dogbane, milkweeds, oleander, etc.

They were on two plants - one was Tropical/Mexican Milkweed (Asclepias curassavica), the other was Swan Milkweed (Asclepias fruticosa)

 
Then
I would say that you can be pretty sure of their identity. They must be Oleander nerii.
