Theridiosomatidae (Ray Spider), egg sac - Theridiosoma gemmosum

The spiders emerged but I let them go without photographing them. I looked for an exit hole but then realized that the stalk was mostly detached from the egg sac. Thanks to BugGuide I now know which spider makes this. I've seen several of these egg sacs in the past few weeks, always in wooded areas.
