Melanoplus punctulatus, last instar. Do you have any other photos? This looks like a male, and at this age, if you have one that shows the end of the abdomen, it would be easy to be certain. Even so, I'm fairly sure.

Not cricket
This is the nymph of a grasshopper in the Acrididae family, perhaps the genus Melanoplus.
