Good find!
This is juvenile of the pale form of Hadrurus obscurus. Note the narrow hands (not Smeringurus, which has huge hands and narrow tail, sorry G, but good guess =), and the equal sized tail and pedipalp segments.
The real ringer for H. obscurus is the shape of the interocular crescent. In H. arizonensis "pallidus", the dark crescent on the face is a true crescent, curved on both sides, including in front of the eyes. This one has a squared/straight anterior edge of the crescent, which is like dark H. obscurus.

Do you have other photos to get the tail in view? (I know it can be difficult; just look at my pic of Vaejovis russelli!)

Very Nice!

Thanks!
Added two photos but one is a bit blury but the tail is up. The other looked a little different so I'm thinking it's a different scorpion?!
And just a little info, they we're under the same stump but on different days and the one was a bit larger. Maybe the sdult female?

lovely dune scorpion
Smeringurus, to the best of my knowledge. This is how they look, and I find them to be among the most beautiful of invertebrates. I wish they could be called "ghost scorpions" rather than "dune scorpions."
