Scolia Dubia
Question for you... My daughter got stung by this little stinker, and I was wondering if they are capable of multiple stings or just once and done? Also, they only seem to be around a few days hovering over the grass (100's) and then they disappear. What happens to them?

Thanks,
Heather

info about the wasp
User "Roar" posted a link to a page that talks about this wasp. There's some general info. on there that might be helpful. As far as I know all wasps can sting repeatedly. Bees are the only ones that embed the stinger in you. Maybe somebody else will comment on this further.

looks like Scolia dubia
