I would guess this specimen is in family Acrididae but not sure. Comments welcome.

Looks very similar to
the Autumn Yellow-winged Grasshopper, Arphia xanthoptera in my Field Guide.

 
I agree.
The "crested" pronotum is very distinctive for Arphia xanthoptera. Nice image!
