Fly - Conophorus

Fly - Conophorus
Elkton, Douglas County, Oregon, USA
June 11, 2009
Size: approx 10mm
On Shasta Daisy. Other then Fly, not quite sure where to begin on this one.

Moved
Moved from Bee Flies.

Bet it's Chonophorus, a bee fly.
Seems to be a lot of variability in this genus, wings and abdomens in particular, but the faces have the same odd look. I'd move this to Bee Flies.

ID
Good peg, with the wings blurred and all: Conophorus.
