Name change
My research missed the transfer of species Brillia par to genus Xylotopus. I moved the species page to the correct genus.

Moved from Flies. Thanks!

Brillia par female
This view best shows the diagnostic feature of Brillia within Orthocladiinae: the R-M crossvein is long and appears like the base of Rs. The same character is diagnostic for Sciaridae within the gnats.

I believe the only Northeastern species that is yellow with black markings is B. par.

Thanks
