Pink Spotted Lady Beetle - Day 19 - Coleomegilla maculata
Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, USA August 2, 2009 Size: 6 mm, 1/4 inch
The adult emerged 6 days after pupation. This species is always a rather light, pinkish-red color, not much darker than the recently-emerged adult here. It did become more glossy and the black spots more prominent over the next few hours.
