Eastern Tiger Swallowtail - Papilio glaucus - female

Eastern Tiger Swallowtail - Papilio glaucus - Female
Fort Bragg, Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA
September 10, 2005

Female.
Just wanted to add that this is a female, as evidenced by the flush of blue on the hindwing. Males have little or no blue. In some populations, BLACK females dominate, being mimics of the pipevine swallowtail.
