Strange, it looks like the eye pattern
of Lycosidae! Are there any shiny black Lycosids? Tom has a couple unidentified too. Maybe there's another group with those posterior lateral eyes so far back.

 
You're right,
the eye pattern is much closer to a wolf spider. I've never seen a shiny wolf spider, but that doesn't mean there aren't any.

 
Just noticed what may be yet
another member of this mystery family located in the Amaurobiidae! Check . Wonder if they might be all related and what family they might be.
