Calosoma sp.? - Calosoma peregrinator
Fort Huachuca, Garden Canyon, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
August 7, 2009
Size: 26mm

Moved from Calosoma prominens.

Calosoma peregrinator
based on my micrscopic examination of this specimen. Occurs in southwestern quadrant of United States. Distinguished (in part) from the sharply angulated pronotal sides seen in Calosoma prominens [= synonym C. angulatum LeConte, not C. angulatum Chevrolat; range AZ & NM] shown in type image. Thanks Tom.

Moved from Ground Beetles.
