That would be my guess...
This was found in the known range range of the species so I'd say you're correct. Maybe someone else with more knowledge of Arizona sphingids could have another opinion.

As a note, this species (along with others has been asigned to the genus Lintneria) giving this species the correct name Lintneria istar. This and other changes can be found in Tuttle's 2007 book The Hawk Moths of North America.
