Green larva on Rose bush - Allantus

Green larva on Rose bush - Allantus
Perry County, South Central Pa County, Pennsylvania, USA
August 22, 2009
Found a number of these on one of my rose bushes this morning. I've been encouraging butterflies this year, so if these are a butterfly cat, then I'd like to save them... but if they are something not so nice I want to place them elsewhere. I searched *green caterpillar* and a number of them come up but I did not see a pic of this one. With all that were there, I could have overlooked it..

Any thoughts?

Thank you :-)
