Size: 9 mm
Singing on a potted Dracaena placed outside for the summer.

Female in the other picture was on another plant about 2m away.

Interesting how...
One wing is clear and the other is black. This has been noted in the literature, but I thought it was just glare until I read about it.

I didn't even notice the difference. Do you happen to know what the literature had to offer about this phenomenon?

No explanation
Just the observation, but I'd think it has something to do with the adaptive physics of sound production. I notice Himmelman does not mention it in his recent book on northeastern night-singers.
