Moth - Conchylodes concinnalis
Miller Canyon, Huachuca Mountains, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
August 22, 2009
Size: Length 1.2cm Width 1.7cm
Elevation 5,000. ft.
Oak-Juniper Woodland.

Two more with wide white outer bands from Texas

and one from North Carolina??

or maybe, as we thought, we're not getting it :)

Not sure what you mean exactly,
but does that mean this one is also wrong?

likely
The photos from Charles were submitted to BOLD. I am sorting through this group and will add notes to the pages later. The subterminal line is much closer to the terminal line in C. ovulalis and the smaller black costal patch is always solid. The coastal patch is white/hollow in C. concinnalis. There may be other differences including the markings on the abdomen.
Thanks

Conchylodes concinnalis - Hodges #5293
Moved from Zebra Conchylodes.

Notice the evenly spaced postmedial and subterminal lines of the forewing.
Thanks.
