Moved per Ian's amended ID
he clarified his position via e-mail and it's exactly what i thought and what Beatriz said! keep contributing your nice pix to BG!

Moved from Frass.

Thank you!
Thanks to you and Beatriz for your nice comments and for helping clear up the confusion and thanks to Ian for the ID.

Oh!
And to think that we could have lost this beauty because of a slight misunderstanding! Should I have used the word "fatigue" instead?

Carol--
imho, these are good guideworthy images, and i don't think Ian suggested they are redundant -- i'm sure he meant something different

Oh...
I do have another image in September under Coralinus so I thought that's what he meant. But, his subject line says the insect is Coralinus and on the next line he says its Suturalis, so I'm a little confused. Maybe he could move it where it's supposed to go. Thank "v".

Worth keeping
I agree with v. Maybe when Ian said "sorry too many photos!" he just meant that he was getting confused after looking at many photos. Now, I would like to be sure of the ID. I assume that the second ID is the correct one.

you're 100% correct -- and that's exactly what i thought, too
[i just was reluctant to say the word 'confused' :-]
