Megachile (Xanthosarus?) - Megachile - Male
Onion Valley, elev. 2800m, Sierra Nevada, Inyo County, California, USA
August 7, 2009
Looks close to a Megachile (Xanthosarus) perihirta I observed in B.C. a couple of years ago.
This male is taking nectar in Helenium bigelovii.
