suggest this is more likely M. fraterna
suggest this is more likely M. fraterna, based on much longer pubescence. D&A for M. haldemani states "Elytral pubescence short, scarcely longer than width of puncture." Compare with
LeConte's type
. While pubescence can wear off, the type image pubescence matches well with an example in the Guide
