Stinkbug shedding? - Halyomorpha halys

Stinkbug shedding? - Halyomorpha halys
Monrovia, Los Angeles County, California, USA
July 4, 2009
Size: 3/8"
This might be a stinkbug next to its exuvia. It might have more stages of metamorphosis to go before reaching the adult size. Can you please identify the species?

Stinkbug
I'm not an expert, so please wait for confirmation from someone else! :-)

However, I suspect this may be a Brown Marmorated Stink Bug - Halyomorpha halys. These are an invasive species brought over from Asia that cause significant damage to agriculture. They molt five times before becoming an adult, so that likely is its shed skin.

Thank you. Looking at it, the term "marmorated" suits this little bug perfectly.
On the other hand, your "mold" term sounds better than my "shed", which has stuck to me since I used to own a snake!
