Fly
Turkey Run Park, Virginia, USA
August 6, 2009

Moved
Moved from Caddisflies.

Hydropsychidae
The curly thin thing is still the right antenna - just curled. The large eyes and what I can see of the abdomen apex suggest it is a male of the Hydropsyche scalaris group. Did you keep it? Do you have a better picture of the abdomen apex?

Nope
This is the only angle...thanks for the family info though!

I'm wondering
if this isn't some sort of moth.

That one's worth a WOW!
Beautiful shot of a very interesting fly. Do you know if the thin, curly thing in front part of its antenna?

Not sure
I think it is some sort of aquatic fly.

How about
a caddisfly?
