Tetanolita floridiana - Tetanolita floridana

Tetanolita floridiana - Tetanolita floridana
Burlington Township, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
August 27, 2009
I think that this one is Tetanolita floridana - Florida Tetanolita - Hodges#8368, as the other option, 8366, Tetanolita mynesalis, has a more uniformly dark forewing. Thoughts???

Size?
I'm second guessing this one. Renia adspergillus and R. sobrialis can look like this with wing spans in the 23-30 mm range. Tetanolita floridana is about 20 mm.

If this is in Tetanolita, it's most likely T. floridana.

Sorry Nina, growing pains! I moved a number of moths from Litter moths to Genus and I have been corrected by Steve Nanz. Sorry for the mistake!
