roach? - Blattella asahinai

roach? - Blattella asahinai
jacksonville, duval County, Florida, USA
August 26, 2009
Size: 3/8 in
found outdoors They come in the evening when we leave back porch light on.

Moved
Moved from Blattella. German cockroaches tend to run from light, and I do not believe that Field Cockroaches are found in Florida. While this picture is at very low resolution, it does appear to have the general coloration of the Asian Cockroach, although an image with higher resoltion would be very nice.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

maybe German Cockroach, Blattella germanica
The stripes look like a good match.

Maybe.
Can't rule out the Asian roach, though. Need more information on time of day it was seen, indoors or outdoors, etc....
