Weevil - Haplorhynchites

Weevil - Haplorhynchites
Benbrook, Tarrant County, Texas, USA
August 28, 2009
Found on a Common Sunflower at the edge of a field. Thought it might be a Tooth-nosed Snout Beetle based on images in Guide. Did not notice any flower heads sawed off, but I didn't know at the time what to look for--I learn something new with each bug I find! It was full of pollen--which stayed on for the 5-hour trip in a jar.
