Yellowjacket
Is a Vespula sp. I think it might be V. vidua. Don't see any other possibility with that coloration. This species seems to be abundant this year for some reason.

Yes there do seem a few more than usual-I just posted what I think is a male...I'm so bad at IDing Yellow Jackets...sigh...I kept this photo as it was because it looked so (sorry) cute. O_o (and gave a size comparison too.)

The English Ivy is in bloom-I have never seen so many bees and wasps and hornets as this year!!!
