Not Hadrurus
Hi Liz,
Thanks for adding the other photos, but this last one at the base of the post looks like it could be Vaejovis waeringi. Notice the thickness of the tail and the reddish telson (venom bulb segment), I think if you find it again the fingers will be considerably long and slender. If not, then it could be Vaejovis puritanus.

Another difference between most Vaejovis spp. and Hadrurus is easily seen in the newer pic of the little Hadrurus: look at the tail segments and see that the carinae, or ridges, don't end with a large, spinoid granule, but they do on most Vaejovis spp.
