Size: 6.6 mm
Fifth abdominal sternite has a thin subapical plate. This character is also present in A. ornata and A. pulchella. Elytra are bronzed with transversely elongate yellow markings. Pronotum without lateral yellow spot, form is narrower, and length usually less that 7mm.

The subapical plate can barel
The subapical plate can barely be seen in this pic but its just beneath the genetalia at the end of the abdomin.Looks like 2 little bumps. I placed an arrow to point it out but I couldn't upload that pic. It was no longer a jpeg. If anyone knows how I can retry and upload it to better show the character i would greatly appreciate it. I'll also try a better close up of it. Besides 2 species in southern Florida this should be all the eastern Acmaeodera.

 
Put the image with the arrow
