Grizzled mantids
Hey Mantis Keeper!

Nice shots of the well-camo'ed Grizzled Mantis. I have been searching for them in there natural habitat for some time now (Though I have seen them attracted to store lights before)...where do you find them? A scrubby habitat? Is there a certain tree or bush they prefer?

Thanks in advance...
-Tony

Sorry this reply took so long
Sorry this reply took so long, dunno if you'll even get it, but I didn't notice it was here. I usually find grisea on pine trees about 4 to 7 feet up. They could be, and probably are, higher, but I haven't figured out how to safely get up there to find them. I've been interested in this species since I saw it. This was the first exotic looking mantis that I ever saw and to this day remains my favorite as of yet. Sorry agian for the delayed reply.
