Would be easier if we could see the top of the hind wing
but I'd tend to agree with M. sexta

Manduca sp. (Manduca sexta)
Likely the Tobacco Hornworm, Manduca sexta - a widespread and common species found across most of the US.

However, there are more representatives of this Genus out west than here in the east. A number of other species are regularly encountered in the sw and several more that may stray into the US from Mexico.
