In Europe this would be Phasia aurulans and I notice that you have the same species in North America :)

I found an image online and it matches well. However, I don't know what other species may be similar. Here is the camparison photo.

Yes, I have the same problem - I don't know what your alternatives look like :D But I'd say it's a fair bet that you have photographed P.aurulans because most of the other species (on both sides of the Atlantic) are quite dull and black - or they look different to this one. Given a specimen I would be able to run it through the Sun & Marshall keys but I would never attempt it from a photo ;)
