Looks like maybe a moth caterpillar, maybe a Datana? Seen on Bitternut Hickory.

not positive
but this looks like Datana ministra to me. These are primarily oak feeders, but will use hickory. Not Datana integerrima, and doesn't looks right for Datana angusii, of the other two that feed on hickory.

Definitely looks like Datana to me
I know that D. integerrima feeds on Hickory, not sure of others.
