not sure vs. apicalis
can't discern the black hairs on the propodeum of philadelphica

More I look at this the more I think it is Isodontia philadelphica. Sorry, guess I don't know my wasps:-)

You sure know your wasps!!
I was hoping someone could ID it from my not so good photo of it.

Thank ^_^ We have a huge amount of wasps and bees and flies on the English Ivy.
