With that dark wing band (not much different from further east), that's where it fits best. I've noticed that in the area near the state line that they often have something less of a dark band than in this one, but it seems maybe they are still all "good" H. capito.

I think that in that general area (perhaps a bit further west) there should be obvious intermediates with H. gracilipes (Maybe the Dragoons or west side of the Chiricahuas would be a good place to look?), but maybe the two really are really different.
