Syrphid - Sericomyia chrysotoxoides

Syrphid - Sericomyia chrysotoxoides
State Line Lookout, Bergen County, New Jersey, USA
August 4, 2009
Looks like Sericomyia chrysotoxoides. If confirmed, this is a new genus and species for BG NJ.
Comments appreciated.

Moved
Moved from Sericomyia. Lots of yellow hair, matches Sericomyia chrysotoxoides image and description at Canadian National Collection, Sericomyia images plate 2.

fly ID
Thank you, Gerard and Ted. I've seen a few more of these recently, both at this location and in Central Park in NYC.

Moved
Moved from Syrphid Flies.

Sericomyia
