Wasp?

Wasp?
Elkton, Douglas County, Oregon, USA
June 17, 2009
Size: approx 12mm
Found several of these over several days, resting on my bee boxes. Looks very similar to a sawfly I posted recently. Could this be another species in the sawfly group or is this a real wasp?

Nice iamges of a wasp in the Sapygidae family. Nice find, too!
