Red-femured Milkweed Borer, Tetraopes femoratus
I used to find them commonly on milkweed this time of year in Lakewood/Denver. You can see red color on the legs, and bands on the antennae, which I believe are diagnostic. I'm posting one I found in KS early this summer. I'm not sure if there are other Tetraopes to confuse the Denver area ones with, so let's see if others agree with me.

Thank you Andrew
I was surprised there were so many species. Thank you for the cross reference to your image and the ID marks. Hopefully we'll hear from someone else.
