Barklice - Aaroniella badonneli

Barklice - Aaroniella badonneli
University of Guelph Arboretum, Guelph (N43º32'7"W080º13'6"), Wellington, Ontario, Canada
September 2, 2009
Size: 3.2 mm
Ontario data point. There were thousands of these barklice on the trunk of a Freeman's Maple. While their silken retreats and egg masses gave away their presence, the insects' size and cryptic coloration made them very difficult to spot.
