True Bug imitating Coccinellid - Galgupha

True Bug imitating Coccinellid - Galgupha
Box Canyon, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
August 16, 2009

from Joe Eger:
"This looks like Galgupha (Gyrocnemis) punctifer although that species was reported by Henry and Froeschner as being from Texas, not from AZ. The only other thing this could be is Galgupha (Orocoris) arizonensis, but I don't have specimens of this and so don't know what the habitus looks like."

[Anyway, nice thing, Margarethe -- could you check it against a local ref. collection? =v=]
