Hi Bob,
You left no indication on your profile page, reachable by clicking on your name, to suggest that you can opine authoritatively on this beetle, nor did I find a Bob Gemmill in a google search who has umpteen mentions concerning clerids, beetles, or any kind of insect.
Not to worry though, I did google up a bunch of images of Thanasimus dubius and must agree that you are precisely correct in your ID. Thank you very much!
