Explanation of Names
Named for Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico, where it was first collected.
Numbers
Lafontaine & Schmidt (2010) included 34 species of the genus
Tarache in America north of Mexico.

The forewing length averages 10-12 mm.
Range
Western Texas to southern California.

The adults are most common from June to September.
