Explanation of Names
Leucotabanus annulatus Say 1823
Size
10-12 mm
Identification
females mostly brown and grey/cream-colored; males covered in bright white hairs
wings unpatterned; antennae typical, with a slight point on top of first flagellomere; small ocelli on a small tubercle; face of female with a thin callus slightly thickening ventrally; male eyes with different facet sizes above and below. (Goodwin et al., 1985)

e US (DE-FL to KS-TX)
Habitat
places where there are trees and rotting wood
