cool, maybe a new guide page?
I can't find a reference for that one, least my quick search didn't appear to turn up that species. Is there a key somewhere?

*
i only have a [pretty tough] key in (1); it doesn't, technically, cover your area, although must be applicable in most cases. BTW, do you know of any general (like, order-level) KS insect checklists?

KS check list
I don't know about a reliable checklist offhand. There might be something available through KSU though. They publish the "Insects in Kansas" field guide which I've had some luck with.

based on McPherson 1982, your bug matches E. t. tristigmus best

ID confirmed by J. E. McPherson: E. tristigmus tristigmus

thanks V
Please thank J.E. McPherson for me too.

sounds good
Thanks for looking it up. I'll move it on over there. New data point for KS looks like.
