Peoria longipalpella
This looks like a BOLD identification error. BOLD:AAA4114 contains 5 specimens identified as
Atascosa glareosella
and 2 identified as
Peoria longipalpella
. Your BOLD LPOKA709-09 example,
here
, is in
BOLD:AAE4595
and does look correct for
A. glareosella
. The two BINs are not close to each other. There is no BIN for
Peoria longipalpella
other than BOLD:AAA4114. All examples in that BIN seem to match the description for
P. longipalpella
.
A. glareosella
has a dark posterior band and no anterior band. The white costal band narrows to a point at the apex. LPOKA709-09 matches this. Your image above has an anterior dark band and the white coastal band does not cleanly come to a point at the apex like pinned examples of
A. glareosella
. I think there should also be a more obvious discal spot. Although not mentioned in the description, I noticed that the posterior dark band is closer to the outer margin and the white coastal band is narrower and better defined in
A. glareosella
. See description of
A. glareosella
here
, fig.
here
, and description of
P. longipalpella
here
, fig.
here
.

I see that -
The two BINs are about 8% apart. Worth reporting to BOLD.

Done
I reported the error to BOLD. I'm moving this back to
Peoria longipalpella
of now.

No
This was found just before I started to send moths in for DNA barcoding. I have four different Peopia that have no match in BOLD but none look like this one.
