Goldenrod gall fauna, larva - Rhopalomyia pedicellata

Size: 2.5 mm
Compare to a gall made by the same species on a leaf, not on a flower. I think that the plant is called goldentop rather than goldenrod because the flowers form a flat top and not a rod. (Euthamia graminifolia)
