A thorough scrubdown reveals a fat, stubby larva that, left on the leaf, will soon festoon itself with a new layer of excrement. I kept several of these and they pupated, but all had died and rotted before I ran out of more exciting stuff to shoot. (That always seems to be my problem: too many subjects, too little time.)
