Assasin bug (DIN241) - Pselliopus barberi
Great Falls National Park, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
September 13, 2009
Size: 1/2-3/4 inch
Fairly sure it's one of the assasin bugs; appreciate specific ID.

Moved
Moved from Pselliopus.

Since we can't see the dorsum, it is difficult to be 100% about the species designation. The bright orange color, however, is indicative of P. barberi, thus I'm moving it there.

Moved from ID Request.

yes assassin, Pselliopus genus
I think the more orange, less brown ones, are Pselliopus barberi
